Scraptastical Kreations DT Challenge!

So the one of the members, Jennifer Fox, of our Design Team decided that we should do a project using this week's freebie that you can find here.

The challenge this week is to use this file is.....
1. Have to use the ENTIRE freebie ~ no adding, subtracting or replacing the elements. Use ONLY the freebie file.
2. Lion must be made out of SOLID card stock (no patterned paper). You can ink, distress, chalk, or color the edges.
3. Background can be patterned paper.
4. You can use bling, ribbon, brads, eyelets but the main focus has to be the freebie.
5. No additional items can be added from any set, cartridge or company.
6. You can add a title or stamp, but lion must be the focus.
7. Can be a layout, altered item, card or another kreation ~ not just a piecing.

As you can see I bent the rules a wee bit and cut some grass using a Fiskars grass border punch. I wanted to so badly to add more animals, but the challenge is to only use this adorable lion and I think it turned out just right.

The title to my altered frame is a font from lettering delights "LD Safari"
that I purchased in the Silhouette Store and, of course, I added a shadow to it.

The frames you can purchase at Michaels for $1 and the super fun pattern paper is from the DCWV Animal Crackers Stack, which is absolutely perfect for zoo projects of all kinds!!!

So now it is your turn! You can create a card, layout, or altered item
and post a picture to our fanpage at Scraptastical Kreations for a chance to win prizes from Jennifer and also a free single file of your choice.

Enjoy and Have Fun!!

Scraptastical Kreations Design Team Project #16

Welcome to another Scraptastical Kreations Design Team project!! I am having the best time putting all of these bears together. It is surely getting easier and easier :~)

For this super girly layout I used the "I Love You Bear, which you can get your hands on right here for only $2.50!

Here are the deets on my layout! The paper is Colorbok from Walmart for $5.00 includes 20 papers, 245 stickers and 84 die-cuts and this stack is called Sweet Memories, I liked it so much I bought 2 of them.

I also used My Creative Time's "Build A Banner" kit and "Anyday Bingo & Crossword" stamp set for the title to my page. You can also find her awesome stamps and dies here!

The 3 hearts I cut from the Tags, Bags, Boxes, and More cricut cartridge and they are cut at 3 1/4" and I adhered a button to each of them. You can use these "tags" to note when/where your picture was taken!

Thanks for stopping by and I'll see ya again real soon :o)

Scraptastical Kreations Design Team Project # 15

Welcome to another design team project for Scraptastical Kreations! For this double page layout I went out of my realm and combined paper piecings with a Cricut cartridge :o)

The clowns are a mixture of the Apple Pickin' Bear from Scraptastical Kreations which you can get him here, and then I added the clown outfit from Paper Doll Dress Up. I cut the paper piecing "as is" no adjusting his size. (You will only need the head, ears, eyes, mouth, and arms! Then I cut the clown costume at 3 3/4".

I used my Silhouette SD to create the title to my page. I used the font called Hobo Std cut at 1.45" in height and then I used a 0.130" offset for the black shadow. I then chose 4 colors in my layout and alternated the letters to those colors.

I used "The Paper Studio: A Boy's Universe" coordinating paper pack!

Hope you enjoyed the extra creativity I put into this DT project for Scraptastical Kreations!!

I used the 100% Sweetness stamp set from My Creative Time and you can get this stamp set here as well.

The embossing folder is from the "Love is in the Air" Cuttlebug set.

Scraptastical Kreations Design Team Project #12

Welcome to another Scraptastical Kreations Design Team Project! Today, I am working with the "Calender Cuties", which you can find here.

When creating this layout I enlarged my image to 120%. I use Sure Cuts A Lot 2.0 for cutting my paper piecings. Here is how you do it....

When you have the image on your screen you right click on your mouse, select "Transform", select "Scale", select "Percentage" from the drop down menu and then type in 120.00 in both boxes and click "Apply". This enlarges the image from it's original scale that it was created at. You can also do this to shrink your image(s)if your working with a smaller project such as a card!

Thank you for joining my today!

Products used:
Martha Stewart Heart Lace Punch (Large)
Silhouette Studio: Love You (corner phrase) Title & Heart Flourish
DCWV: Dots, Stripes, & Plaids Paper Stack (both pattern papers)
Ribbon

I used A Child's Year cricut cartridge and cut my image at 3 3/4". The paper is from the Martha Stewart Crafts "Enchanted Woodland" stack. The sentiment and tag are from My Creative Time's "100% Sweetness" stamp set and the tag is from her "Build a Banner" die kit.

Scraptastical Kreations Design Team Project #10

Did you know that Valentine's Day is only a month away?

On this double-page scrapbook layout I used the cutest file out there "Delivering Some Love" by Scraptastical Kreations, which you can find here!

The house is cut from the HandyMan Cricut Lite cartridge at 10". We have a house that is not too far from where we live that is the color of the house in this layout and I love it, I stare at it every time I drive by it; hence the colors that I chose for the house.

I cut the title out on my own using my Silhouette SD. The font is called LD Hearts and it is a font that I purchased through Lettering Delights, which you can purchase here if you would like. I just set it with two offsets at 0.130 and chose different colors for both of them!

The "postage stamps" are cut from the Martha Stewart's "Enchanted Woodland" paper stack and then I matted them with black cardstock. This is from this year's stock.

The background patterned paper is from K&Company's "KP Valentine" paper stack that I purchased last year.

Thanks for stopping by =)
