I made this last night and I love how it turned out so I decided to set it on my TV stand and unfortunately my dog, Sasha, tore it all to pieces. The good news is that she didn't get to any of the chocolate, bad news is that I have to remake it!!

L is for Ladybug Scrapbook Layout

When I first started this layout I realized that I didn't have any brown paper to start cutting out my image. So....I decided that I would use my Cricut Imagine to print my images in the colors that I needed. Right about the time that I got my Imagine there was talk about RGB codes. So I went online and I googled "Stampin Up RGB Color Codes" and that is where I got the list that helped me choose the colors for this project!

Recipe:
Kate's ABCs page 49

Ladybug: cut at 5" using Chocolate Chip R-111 G-84 B-75
Ladybug-s: cut at 5" using Certainly Celery R-201 G-210 B-148
Layer1: cut at 5" using Pretty in Pink R-251 G-196 B-205
Layer1-s: cut at 5" using Pink Passion R-236 G-110 B-170
Layer2: cut at 5" using Green Galore R-156 G-211 B-111
Layer2-s: cut at 5" using no color as it is cut in white

Phrase cut at 2.2 using Pink Passion R-236 G-110 B-170
Phrase layer cut at 2.2 using Pretty in Pink R-251 G-196 B-205

Photo mats are 5.0 (Chocolate Chip)
Photo mat layer cut at 4.8 (Pink "bubble" pattern from Nursery Tails)
I also printed out the photo mat layer on a peice of 12x12 cardstock to create my background paper as well.

This particular layout was a little hard for me, I usually use bright or deep colors vs pastels. Using my Cricut Imagine helped because I was able to pick pattern paper from a cartridge that actually came with my machine when I ordered it on HSN! I also challenged myself to use the color codes to create the paper that I needed vs going to the store to buy more!

Happy Scrappin'

Green Cricut Imagine?

After watching a recent video of Sara (mypinkcricut) husband spray painting her Imagine, I decided that I can do that and so I did. It was very easy to take a part and put back together. Remember, Provo Craft said that the with the Imagine we were able to purchase colored pieces for the gray, but they have lacked to release any yet. Also, spray painting your own is going to be cheaper than buying a colored replacement. The spray paint was under $5 at Home Depot.

I chose the flourescent green to go with the Cricut logo color and since I'm sure most will choose pink or purple, I wanted mine to be different. The only minor issue that I came across is that they do not make a plastic paint in this color, so as you can see it isn't very shiny, but anything is better than gray :~)

I am still going to be "decorating" my imagine with some bling and wording, but haven't made any commitments to what exactly I want, so until then I will leave as is!

Cricut Imagine ~ Lori's Garden Card

For this "Thinking of You" card I used my Cricut Imagine. I used the Lori's Garden Art Cartridge and cut the Marqui at 4.2 inches and the butterfly at 3.2 inches. I also used the Cricut Lite Lacy Labels to cut my sentiment and that is cut at 2". I used some hemp cord and 2 white buttons.

First Cricut Imagine Project

This is the very first thing that I have made using my CRICUT IMAGINE. I used the Best Friends and Nursery Tails cartridges. I used the Nursery Tails cartridge for the journaling tag and all other cuts were from the Best Friends cartridge. I do not have the measurements for the cuts because it was going to be a test page and I liked what I printed/cut so decided to make a scrapbook page of it.
